When Dominic Aguilar tied the game with 2.9 seconds left in regulation time on Friday night in Brainerd, it appeared as if the Otters and Warriors were headed for overtime.  It was not to be, however, as a desperation midcourt shot that fell short was caught by Cooper Jacobs of Brainerd, who put the ball in the basket for a 65-63 Warriors victory at the buzzer.

The Otters fell behind 17-3 to start the game, rallied to within a point at 21-20 and trailed 32-24 at the half.  Fergus Falls came back strong in the second half, taking a one point lead before Brainerd went up by six points.  The Otters trailed by two when they forced a Brainerd turnover and got possession of the ball with twelve seconds left, setting up the tying shot by Aguilar.

Aguilar led the Otters with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.  Kaden Conklin added 18 points, Abel Aho had 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists, and Luke Newman finished with 7 points and 10 boards.

Mitchell Degen and Griffin Rushin led the Warriors with 26 and 22 points, respectively.

Fergus Falls played without seven-foot post player Chance Fazio on Friday.  The Otters will travel to St. Cloud to face Tech in a makeup game at one o'clock on Tuesday afternoon.
