Josh Meyers takes over as Head Coach of the Alexandria Boys Hockey team, inheriting a team that finished 17-8 a year ago and made it all the way to the Section finals.  The Cardinals will need to replace graduates Caleb Strong, Joe Westlund, Andrew Revering, Shane Birkeland and Derek Pesta.

Returning letter winners include seniors Grant Rebrovich (Forward), Jacob Partington (Forward) and Christopher Loken (Goalie), and juniors Josiah Gronholz (Forward and Brennan Lattimer (Defense).

Key newcomers to the varsity ae sophomores Tyler Kludt (Forward), Joe Lamski (Forward), Tripp Shatek (Forward), Henry Ramstorf (Defense) and Zaven Noetzelman (Defense).

“Our team strengths will be speed, size and goaltending, while the fact that we are young can be viewed as a strength and a weakness,” said Coach Meyers.

Adam Olsen and Landon Olson will serve as assistant coaches.

Meyers says St. Cloud Cathedral and Sartell will be the top teams in the Central Lakes Conference and in the Section.
