Isaac Olson is a senior at Pelican Rapids High School.  Olson participated in football in the fall for a Vikings team that finished with a 5-1 record, winning their final four games including a 40-14 victory over Hawley in the Section 8AA semifinals.  Olson is also planning on lacing up the spikes for the Pelican Rapids baseball team in the Spring.

“Playing football in a blizzard my junior year in Hawley and then ending my high school football career on a win at home against the Nuggets have to rank as two of my top sports memories,” shared Olson.

“Isaac has been committed to the weight room for several years,” shared Pelican Rapids Head Football Coach David Haugen.  “His hard work there has made it possible for him to become a valuable member of the football team.  Isaac is a great role model for our younger athletes in his commitment and the progress that he made over the years.  Isaac suffered a knee injury a couple of years ago and has done a great job of getting back on the field.”

Olson, whose favorite subjects are Math and Chamistry, will most likely be attending a Tech School upon completion of high school.  Isaac was also involved in the SADD chapter at Pelican Rapids High School.

“Being involved in sports has given me many friendships that will last a lifetime,” noted Olson.  “My advice to underclassmen is to always work hard and to know your role on your team.”
