The Hancock volleyball team swept Ashby on Monday night 31-29, 25-18, 25-10 in a non-conference match in Ashby.

Leaders for the Arrows were Anissa Heinrich (4/5 serving, 9 kills, 4 digs), Celi Nelson (7/7 serving, 6 kills, 4 digs, 2 blocks, 1 ace), Haleigh Brendmoen (8/9 serving, 1 ace, 6 kills, 13 digs), Catherine Koefod (11/12 serving, 3 aces, 19 set assists, 3 digs), Tarryn Hill (7/7 serving, 4 digs), Madeline Thompson (7/8 serving, 7 digs) and Ryleigh Brendmoen (10/10 serving, 1 ace, 7digs).

“We came out strong in the first and pushed through a lot of hard and long volleys,” commented Ashby Head Coach Hayley Stevens. “Our serving was consistent tonight with 93 percent and quite a few aces. We struggled getting a block set on the outsides and Hancock has a strong cross court game right and off the net. We are really focusing on the positives still and continue to work on our passing so we can get the ball to the target when that happens our hitting game doesn't waver but when our passes are off we aren't maintaining an offensive game but instead are always on the defense. We have a couple days off and head to Brandon-Evansville Thursday.”
