Hillcrest was led by Anna Brumfield (5 kills, 2 block kills, 7/8 serving), Maddie Ballweg (2 ace serves, 14/15 serving, 9 service points, 4 kills, 7 set assists), Audra Ewan (6 set assists, 5 service points), Alyssa Broyles (6/6 serving), Mack Foss (10/10 serving, 6 serving points) and Emily Adams (4 kills, 1 block kill).
“We had moments when we ran our offense well and then we had some “long weekend/Monday moments” which we just couldn’t fix,” commented Hillcrest Head Coach Debi Foss. “We had a nice run in the third set led by Maddie Ballweg’s 6 point run but then just couldn’t finish it. There were some nerves that showed tonight for a few of our players, but we can work on that. Our serving was much more consistent tonight which was nice to see.”
Hillcrest will face Underwood in a road contest on Thursday night. The Panthers will host Rothsay on Thursday.
