Ann Dreke begins her first season as Head Coach of the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross volleyball team.  The Warriors were 16-12 a year ago and finished with a 6-2 record in the Pheasant Conference.  They will need to replace four seniors who were lost to graduation.

“We are so happy to have a season and we are ready to play some volleyball,” commented Coach Dreke.  “We are out to enjoy the game and play our hearts out.”

Returning letter winners include seniors Isabelle Schmidt (Outside Hitter), Amanda Lanter (Setter) and Bailey Hofer (Libero), and junior Ellissa Rinke (Middle Hitter). Schmidt and Lanter will serve as team captains.

Dreke will also be looking for junior Emily Berger (Setter) and sophomore Brylie Schultz (Middle Hitter) to step into the varsity lineup.

Jay Schmidt (JV/B Squad) and Mikaela Bork (C Squad) will assist Coach Dreke.

Dreke says Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley is the team to beat in Pheasant Conference play and will be one of the top teams in Section 6A.
