With six returning starters from their 18-12 team of 2019, the Breckenridge Cowgirls are poised for another successful season in 2020.

“We have a lot of experience coming back,” acknowledged Breckenridge Head Coach Margaret Wilson.  “This team brings tremendous energy and intensity to the court.  We need to replace a key middle hitter/blocker in Riley Lorenz.  We are unsatisfied with how our season ended last year and we are looking forward to competing at a higher level this season.”

Returning starters included senior Jude Held (Middle Hitter), juniors Camryn Kaehler (Outside Hitter), Carcie Materi (Setter), Riley Finkral (Libero) and Tori Undem, and sophomore Abby Johnson (Outside Hitter).

Coach Wilson is also expecting varsity contributions from seniors Grace Conzemius, Kaylin Nicholson (Defensive Specialist) and Kaitlyn Banken (Utility Hitter), and junior Sophie Larson (Setter).

Wilson will be assisted by Alicia Finkral, Missy Johnson and Briana Dauer.  She sees Henning, CGB and Underwood as the top teams in Section 6A and Perham as the team to beat in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference.
