The Brandon-Evansville Chargers enter the 2020 football season with expectations of competing for District and Section titles this season.  The Chargers lost a large group of letter winners who led the team to just the second nine win season in school history and the third trip to the Section finals in school history, however, B-E returns seven solid returning letter winners from that team.

“We lost a lot from last year’s team, but guys put in a lot of time this summer and are ready to step up,” said Head Coach Tim Pattrin, entering his ninth year with the Chargers.  “Our lines are big and physical.  We have a lot of experience coming back also.  We need to develop depth in our younger players.”

Returning letter winners include seniors Cade Carlson (RB/LB), Nathan Baumann (OE/OLB), Mike Cochran (DE/OG), Kyle Schaffran (DB/WR)) and Kobe Reiland (QB/DB), and juniors Tyler Bitzan (RB/OLB) and Hunter Koep (NT/OG).

New varsity prospects are senior Kaleb Pikkaraine (OL/DL), juniors Dylan Tracy (DE/OL) and John Roers (FB/LB), and sophomores Aaron Gillespie (DL/OL), Desmond White (QB/OLB) and Ryland Yeats (RB/DB).

Dan Johnson, Kellen Traphagen, Dan Olson, Collin Carlson, Adam Wagner (Junior High) and Chad Knapp (Junior High) will serve as assistants to Coach Pattrin.

Pattrin looks to Hancock, Wheaton and Verndale to be the top competitors in Conference and Section play.
