Gowin won the individual competition at the Don Haugen/Deb Christopher/Randy Berndt Memorial Cross country Meet which was held in Breckenridge on Thursday, September 3.  Her winning time of 22:17.09 was over 27 seconds faster that the second place time.

Breckenridge/Wahpeton was second to Frazee in the team competition.  The Hornets won the event with 26 points and Breck/Wahp finished with a score of 31.

The meet is named in memory of several coaches who made a lasting impact on the Breckenridge/Wahpeton Cross Country program.
