Breckenridge Beats Frazee Twice in Senior Babe Ruth Action

Breckenridge’s bats exploded in a Senior Babe Ruth Conference sweep of Frazee on Tuesday winning the first game 16-0 in 5 innings and winning 11-0 in game two.

All 9 starters had base hits in game one racking up 13 hits. Jeremy Stack, Carson Hought and Collin Roberts led with two hits each including and inside the park HR by Stack.

Defensively Breck was perfect, not making an error and only giving up one hit in the game. Emmit Vig pitched the first three innings striking out 2 batters, and walking one. Ty Piechowski pitched two innings giving up one hit.

Breck continued to play well in game two scoring one run in the first inning followed by 8 runs in the second with 7 hits in the game led by Vig with two hits. 8 of the 9 starters had hits in game two and Breck was perfect defensively, not committing an error.

Cooper Yaggie threw three innings for Breck striking out 6 batters and only giving up two hits.

“We were absolutely perfect tonight on both sides of the ball, not making a single mental mistake,” commented Head Coach Kevin Hiedeman. “We ran the bases extremely well and crushed the ball at the plate and our pitchers did a great job throwing strikes.”

Breck has a Jr’s game Wednesday followed by a conference game for the senior squad on Thursday in Pelican Rapids.
