The Pride would get on the board first when Al Koep and Florian Koep both singled. After some nifty base running both Koeps were in scoring position with nobody out. Pride batters #3 & 4 Josh Helling and Lance Smith did their jobs by making contact and picking up an RBI each giving the Pride a 2-0 lead after 1 inning of play. The RBI groundouts by Smith & Helling became a theme of the night as the Pride continued to do ‘the little things” all evening.

Sacrifice bunts by Brock Peterson and Jack Marquart along with sac flies by Al Koep, Brendon Johnson and Lance Smith accounted for 5 of the 6 runs that the Pride would need in defeating Breck by a score of 6-4.

Defensive highlights included two big catches by outfielders Wyatt Murray and Cole Gesell. Lance Smith had a couple nice scoops at one bag and also snagged a wicked line drive to record the final out.  Al Koep picked up the win going 6 1/3 innings with Josh Helling notching another quality save for the Pride.

The Pride will close out their home schedule next week as they host Alex on Monday and then will bring in Fergus Falls on Thursday.  Parkers Prairie is now 10-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
