The Fergus Falls Hurricanes ended their regular season with a 10-2 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in the Countryside League after erupting for 17 runs on 15 hits Sunday in a 17-0 shutout victory over the Dent Wildcats.

Thomas Bosek (4IP, 5K, 2BB, 3H, 0R) was the winning pitcher for the ‘Canes.

Fergus Falls put two runs on the board in the first inning as Alex Hensch reached on an error to lead off the inning and scored on a 2-run home run by Darin Stanislawski.

A seven run third inning increased the Hurricanes lead to 9-0.  Jack Hiedeman doubled to lead off the inning and moved to third on a single by Hensch, who then stole second base.  Jake Anderson brought home Hiedeman with a single and stole second base.  That was followed by a two-run double by Bosek.  Stanislawski then launched his second 2-run homer of the day and Sean McGuire connected to make it back-to-back jacks.  Dan Revering and Alex Hexum delivered base hits and a sacrifice fly by Hiedeman scored Revering.

Four consecutive walks led to the first run of the fourth inning.  Mitch Porter singled home the second run, the third run of the inning scored on a Revering sacrifice fly and the fourth and final run of the frame scored on a single by Hiedeman.  The four runs put the Hurricanes lead at 13-0.

Bases loaded walks to Austin Stanislawski and Porter, along with a single by McGuire plated three more Fergus Falls runs in the sixth.

The final run of the game came in the top of the seventh on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Bosek.

Leading hitters for the Hurricanes were Hensch (2-5, 3R, 2SB), Darin Stanislawski (2-2, 3R, BB, 2HR, 4RBI), McGuire (2-5, 2R, HR, 3RBI) and Hiedeman (3-3, 3R, 2B, 2RBI).
