Breckenridge Tops OTC 4-3 in Babe Ruth Baseball

Friday's game against Breckenridge was a heartbreaker for OTC Raptors, as they lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat.  The game was tied at two with Breckenridge batting in the top of the fifth when Nieto singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

The Raptors lost despite out-hitting Breckenridge nine to five.

OTC opened up an early lead in the second inning when Kale Misegades singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Christianson was the winning pitcher for Breckenridge. He lasted 5 innings, allowing nine hits and three runs while striking out five.

Tyson Misegades took the loss for OTC. He lasted five innings, allowing five hits and four runs, 2 earned, while striking out six and walking one.

Owen Buehler led the Raptors with three hits in three at bats. Owen also pitched the last 2 innings keeping the Beck team scoreless. 

Sanchez went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Breckenridge in hits.  Breckenridge didn't commit a single error in the field.

Coach Ryan Hendrickson was impressed with his OTC team stating, “The boys played hard and really competed against a good Breck team. They got us this time, but we learned a lit about ourselves and got better today.”
