Thursday night was a good night for the Ottertail Central 13U team as they took victory over Wadena 12-2 in 6 innings.

The competition started with Hudson Risbrudt on the mound striking out the first batter of the game. Wadena then scored 1 run on a hit, hit batter and walk in the first.  OTC answered back on the bottom side of the first scoring leadoff hitter, Kale Misegades, on a Drew Evavold RBI single. Risbrudt sat the next 6 hitters defensively and OTC put up 4 runs on the bottom side of the 3rd inning with Kale Misegades, Owen Harig, Drew Evavold and Kaleb Hammes recording a hit or walk but it was the 2-run double of Collin Lukken that sealed the big inning.

Wadena punched in their second run in the 4th inning off 4 singles, "our defense was stout in the 4th, we had a bend but do not break mentality and got out of a tough spot, a great job by our boys defensively," said Coach Ryan Hendrickson

OTC crossed the plate 6 times in the 4th inning to answer Wadena’s one run, then OTC sealed the game with their final run in the bottom of the 6th inning.

OTC bulldogged 12 runs on 12 hits and 6 walks receiving multiple hits from Misegades, Dilly and Evavold. Misegades and Evavold each scored three runs. Earning the victory on the mound was Hudson Risbrudt (W, 4INN, 3BB, 2K, 6H).

Teddy Grabe of OTC said, "This was a really fun game, a team win."
Kaleb Hammes added, "We played really focused and made a lot of plays on defense."
The OTC 15U team will play Friday night at 7:00pm vs Fergus Falls at Henning.
