Winning pitcher Mitch Porter (5IP, 2K, 1BB, 2H, 1R, 0ER) improved his season record to 5-0.  He was helped out by home runs from Pete Gaustad (2-5, 3R, HR, 4RBI, 2IP, 4K, 0BB, 0H), Darin Stanislawski (3-4, 2R, HR, 5RBI) and Tosten Mann (2-2, 4R, HR, 3BB, 3RBI).  Other hitting leaders were Sean McGuire (3-6, 2R, 2 2B, 3RBI), Thomas Bosek (3-6, 3R, 3RBI), Alex Hexum (3-6, 3R, RBI) and Jack Hiedeman (3-6, 2R).

Fergus Falls is not 9-2 overall and 6-0 in Countryside League play.  The ‘Canes will play a double header at Vergas beginning at 1:30pm Saturday and will be at Dent Sunday at 1:30pm to close out the regular season schedule.
