Matt Haugrud's walk off Sac Fly in the bottom of the 4th inning (game shortened due to darkness) gave the visitors a 4-3 win in the nightcap. Barnesville trailed 3-2 heading to the final frame, but consecutive walks to Jackson Wahl, Adrian O'Brien and Matt Samuelson, followed by a wild pitch for the tying run, set the stage for Haugrud's fly ball to center scoring O'Brien. Noah Krause (1.2 innings, 2 BB, 2 Ks) was credited for the win in relief of Peyton Pauna (2.1 innings, 3 R, 3 BB, 4 Ks). Frazee issued 10 walks in the game. Haugrud also had 2 singles in the game.
The opening game saw Barnesville score 4 runs in the opening two innings, but Frazee would hang around and take the lead 5-4 after 5 innings. Mason Newling's 2 RBI triple to center was a key hit in the fifth. Barnesville reclaimed the lead when Caleb Ott drew a two out walk and clean-up hitter Matt Samuelson (2-3; 4 RBI) smacked his fourth home run of the summer to make it 6-5. Barnesville tacked on 4 insurance runs in the seventh, including a key 2 run single by Krause (2-4; 2 R, 2 RBI). Frazee pitchers issued 10 walks and 9 hits to Barnesville. O'Brien (4 Inn; 2 H, 7 BB, 6 Ks) started and Haugrud (3 Inn; 3 H, 0 BB, 6 Ks) got the win in relief. Wahl gunned down two runners from his catchers’ position, while Barnesville stole 7 bases.
Barnesville travels to Breckenridge on Wednesday for a 6:30 game, and will go to Ada for a doubleheader on Thursday (5:30 pm).
