Leading scorers for the Cowboys were Cooper Yaggie with 29, Jonah Christensen with 9, and Anthony Conzemius with 8. Leading in rebounding was Christensen with 16 and Tyson Piechowski with 9. Adam Ohm led the team with 5 assists.
"In what was one of our most physical games of the year, we were able to grind out a tough-nosed win against a very good Hawley team,” stated Breckenridge Assistant Coach Derek Grahn. “We were able to come up with some big plays down the stretch and had a huge offensive rebounding night overall with 22 brought in, giving us a lot of second chance opportunities. Tyson Piechowski, our lone senior who was honored pregame for senior night, added some huge rebounds for us and provided some great leadership to keep us steady when the game got close.”
The Cowboys will travel to East Grand Forks on Saturday in what will be their final section game of the season.
