Warriors Snap 3-Game Losing Streak with Win at Canby

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross picked up a 57-45 road win at Canby Saturday in a High School boys’ basketball contest.  The Warriors led 40-25 at the half.  The win snapped a 3-game losing streak for the Warriors.

Wheaton hit 42% of their field goal attempts, compared to 27.6% for Canby.  The Warriors also held a 44-39 edge on the boards, securing 15 offensive rebounds.  They also recorded 10 blocked shots and came up with 18 steals.

Matt Thielen (19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals), Clint Determan (17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks) and Michael Franzese (11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 5 blocks) led the way for the Warriors.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (8-8) will travel to Ortonville on Monday night, will host Lac qui Parle Valley on Thursday and closes out the week with a road game in Barrett against West Central Area.
