B-E was led by 18 points from Bailey Schaefer and Mikenna Pattrin. Schaefer led the team with 6 rebounds and Haddey Zastrow had a team high 4 assists and 4 steals.
“Good team effort tonight to get a conference win at home,” commented Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zach Traphagen. “I was very pleased with our effort and aggressiveness on the defensive end, as well as our transition offense. Everyone got in the game tonight and it’s always great to see that especially on Parent’s Night.”
Mackenzie Foss (16 points, 3 rebounds, 7 steals, 3 assists) led the way for Hillcrest. Molly McGuire added 10 points and Cassy Twedt contributed 4 points and 6 rebounds.
“We struggled to take care of the ball and played rushed most of the night,” stated Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark. “The girls played hard, but we need to do a better job of playing at our tempo and staying poised against teams that play aggressive defense.”
Hillcrest (1-15) plays in Wheaton on Friday night, while Brandon-Evansville (11-8) has a game at Ashby on Tuesday.
