Spartans Drop Fifth Straight Game

M State dropped their fifth straight game on Wednesday night in Willmar, losing to the Ridgewater Warriors by the score of 109-78.  The loss is the seventh in the last eight games for the Spartans who are now 7-13 overall and 1-6 against MCAC Southern Division opponents.

All five Ridgewater starters were in double figures, led by 21 points from Sam Olson and Travis HendersonTravis Visser scored 15, Cartier Bickley had 11 and Parker Schwinghammer finished with 10.  Visser led the Warriors with 8 rebounds.  Ridgewater shot 55% (43-78) from the floor and hit 34% (1-35) of their 3-pointers.

Alend Alemadi was the top scorer for M State, delivering 21 points.  James Hobson had 16 and Alex Hendricks added 18 off the bench.  Hobson had a team high 8 rebounds and Alemadi assisted on 3 baskets.

M State made 43.6% (24-55) of their shots and 38.7% (12-31) of their 3’s.  They also made 18-of-20 (90%) free throws.

M State will travel to Wisconsin for a 2:00pm tip-off with Western Technical College on Saturday.
