The Otter boys’ hockey team hit the ice in Little Falls looking to extend their overall winning streak to seven games and their road winning streak to six games, however, the Flyers were able to end both streaks with a 4-3 victory over Fergus Falls.

Isaac Young put the Otters on top at 4:47 of the first period with an unassisted goal.

A Nicholas Stevens goal just 33 seconds into the second period evened the score.  Ryan Buckallew and Gabe Hirsch assisted on the goal.  Gunnar Gustafson tallied the go-ahead goal at the two-minute mark with Matt Filippi assisting.  Stevens added goals at 11:05, from Hirsch, and 16:12 from Hirsch and Buckallew, giving Little Falls a 4-1 lead.  Fergus Falls reduced the margin to one at 16:45 when Carter Thielke scored, unassisted.

Ben Swanson stopped 40 of 44 Little Falls shots on goal.  The Otters finished with 33 shots on the night.

Fergus Falls (10-10-1) will play at River Lakes on Thursday night.
