Underwood hit the road to face the Hancock Owls on Tuesday night.  The Rockets led 26-19 at the half and went on to post a 49-32 victory over the Owls.

“We have been on a stretch of hard places to play against tough teams,” stated Underwood Head coach Brian Hovland. “Playing a good team like Hancock on their home floor is not an easy task.  Defensively we again played a strong game led by senior Ceri Meech with her 10 steals.  All three seniors had nice efficient games tonight.   We have some things to work on before next Monday's game against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross, as that is a start of 5 games in 8 days.”

Ally Johnson paced the Rockets with 13 points and 4 rebounds.  Kayla Rocholl (12 points, 3 assists, 4 steals) and Meech (12 points, 3 assists, 7 rebounds, 10 steals) also contributed solid stat lines for Underwood.

The Rockets made 40% (20-49) of their field goal attempts.

Underwood (12-5) recorded their ninth straight win and will host Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Monday night.

Hancock (11-6) will host Ortonville on Thursday.
