Pelican Rapids was led by Logan Fahje with 24 points.  McHale Korf added 18 as he reached 1000 career points.  Logan Petznick and Liam Sytsma contributed 15 and 11 points, respectively.

“It was an entertaining basketball game tonight as both teams made big plays and big shots down the stretch in the second half and overtime,” commented Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “Logan Petznick hit a three at the buzzer to tie it at 77 and send the game to overtime after we let a ten point lead slip away with eight minutes to go. We had our chances in this one but DGF was able to make a few more plays than we did.”

Aiden Leach paced the Rebels with a game high 27 points. Owen Leach scored 20 and Jacob Strand finished with 12.

“I’d also like to congratulate McHale Korf on reaching the 1000 point milestone for his career tonight,” noted Gullingsrud. “He has put in countless hours in the gym to make himself the player that he is today and he has definitely earned this honor.”

The Vikings (10-7) have lost four straight games, including two in OT.  They will host Barnesville on Friday night.

The win was the third in a row for DGF (13-4) and their tenth win in the last eleven games.  They will play at Hawley in their next game on Friday night.
