“We lacked energy and intensity and dug ourselves into a deep hole early on,” reported Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark. “We came back in the second half, but just didn’t have enough gas at the end of the game to finish our run.” 

Leaders for Hillcrest were Mackenzie Foss (12 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists), Cassy Twedt (8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals), Audra Ewan (5 points, 3 rebounds) and Anna Rasmussen (4 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists).

“Cassy Twedt played really well today,” noted Clark. “She had a solid defensive game and was a huge spark for us on offense. Audra Ewan has been very consistent for us and is a nice compliment to Anna and Mackenzie’s ability to get to the basket. She is really looking for her shot and always has her feet set when the ball gets kicked out to her from inside the paint.”

Hillcrest (0-14) will host St. John’s Prep on Monday night and will play a road game against Little Eight Conference rival Underwood on Tuesday.
