Underwood hosted Park Christian School on Thursday night in a non-conference boys’ basketball contest that was decided in overtime with the Falcons winning by the score of 55-52.  Park Christian led 30-25 at the half and the game was tied 49-49 at the end of regulation.  The Falcons put up six overtime points to three for the Rockets.

Jonah Williams led the visitors with 19 points and Sam Senske added 14.

Underwood was paced by 21 points from Winston Heifort and 17 from Krosby Aasness.

"We played a really solid game on both ends of the court tonight, but a few bounces just didn't go our way and lost a close one in overtime,” commented Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “We executed our game plan well and used what was working to our advantage to build a small lead late in the second half but Park Christian did a nice job of fighting their way back in and forcing us into overtime.  If we make a few more free throws the result would have been different in our favor.  Overall, I'm really proud of the effort put forward tonight by the guys who left it all on the court."

Underwood (1-13) will play at Ashby on Friday night, while Park Christian (6-10) will travel to Ada to face Ada-Borup on Tuesday night.
