Paige Pearson scored ten of her 14 points in the second half and pulled down 9 rebounds. Ellie Colbeck paced the Otters offensively with 18 points. Sabrina Fronning (8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals) had another solid floor game for the Otters.
Fergus Falls led by as many as eighteen points in the first half and held a 34-22 halftime advantage. The Sabres fought back to within five points late in the second half, but the Otters were able to hold on for the eight point victory.
Sartell-St. Stephen was led by freshman Avery Templin with 18 points, including a trio of 3-pointers. Senior Greta Mahowald added 14 points.
Fergus Falls (12-1) will play at Hawley on Tuesday night.
Sartell-St. Stephen fell to 5-8 with the loss. They resume play Monday with a home game against Rocori.
Fergus Falls won the JV game 43-36. They were led by 17 points from Ainsley Hansen.
