Matt Thielen made 14-of-27 field goal attempts, including 7-of-14 from beyond the arc, and converted all five of his free throws to finish with 40 points on Thursday night to lead the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors to an 85-30 road victory over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.
The Warriors shot 49% as a team and connected on 42% (11/26) of their 3’s, while making 14-of-18 from the foul line.
Thielen was joined in double figures by Clint Determan with 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting, and David Fuentes with 11 points, making 4-of-6 shots from the field. Thielen and Zach Braaten led the team with 9 rebounds each and Dylan Bainbridge had a team high 8 assists and 4 steals, while Nick Lupkes dished out 4 assists and had 4 steals.
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (6-4) will host West Central Area on Friday night in Wheaton.
