Otter Boys Overcome Slow Start to Defeat Tech

Troy Feddema scored the first eight points of the game for St. Cloud Tech, but Fergus Falls responded with a 14-point run establishing control of their Central Lakes Conference matchup with the Tigers on Thursday night.  The Otters led 37-14 at the half and posted a 61-39 victory, improving their record to 8-3.

Dominic Aguilar hit three of his four 3-pointers in a 13-point first half and led all scorers with 16 points on the night.  Chance Fazio finished with 14 points, scoring 12 of them in the second half, and Cody Norgren had 10 of his 12 points in the first half.  The Otters made 12-of-18 free throws and shot 44% (22-50) from the field.  Fazio had a team high 6 rebounds and Norgren added 5.  Luke Newman and Aguilar had 4 rebounds each.

Tech shot just 28% (14-50) from the floor and made 7-of-14 foul shots.  They were led by Devin Yeager with 11 points.

The Otters will play at Willmar next Tuesday and will host Menahga on Thursday night.

Bryce Burrill scored 19 points to lead the JV team in their 73-71 loss to Tech.  In the ‘C’ game, Fergus Falls won 44-34 with Josh Sternberg scoring 15 points.
