Perham held Barnesville to just 12 first half points as they Yellowjackets built a 33-12 lead at the break. Perham went on to win 71-47, remaining unbeaten with a record of 9-0 to start the season. The loss is the third in ten games for the Trojans.
Charlie Rasmussen had a big night for Perham, scoring 26 points and pulling down a dozen rebounds. He also had 3 assists and 2 steals. Finn Diggins contributed 17 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Elijah Morris finished in double figures with 12 points.
Perham shot 54% (28-52) from the field, knocking down 6-of-15 (40%) three-pointers. The Yellowjackets won the rebounding battle 35-24.
Leaders for Barnesville were Adam Tonsfeldt with 16 points and 5 rebounds, and Kaden Zenzen with 11 points and 5 boards. The Trojans hit 34% (15-44) of their shots.
Perham will play at Detroit Lakes on Thursday night and Barnesville will play two games in Greenbush this coming weekend, facing Badger/Greenbush-Middle River on Friday night and Warroad on Saturday afternoon.
