Lady Knights hosted the Long Prairie Grey Eagle Thunder in a double header. The game started out with the Knights going on a run 10-0. The Knights kept on rolling and they were holding a 38-13 halftime lead. The second half was a little more balanced leading to a final score of 62-33.
“We did some things well tonight and put each other in good positions throughout the game,” Coach Eric Schoenbauer stated and then added, “The girls did a nice job of rotating tonight on defense and that lead to some positives we can build on.”
The Knights were led by Claire Stark with 19 points, 5 rebounds and a steal. Lexi Bright had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, a block and an assist. Brynn Fernholz had 8 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, a block and an assist. Hailey Bennett had 5 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Elizabeth Rustan had 5 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists. Kaitlyn Hansen had 3 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist. Kaylyn and Kennedy Ulrich each added 2 points. Kaylyn added 3 rebounds and an assist. Kennedy added 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Halle Foslien had a point and 2 rebounds. Teagan Nelson had a team high 6 assists and added 2 steals. Brooke Anderson had 2 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist.
The Lady Knights will have their next game on January 7 in Barrett at 6:00 pm against Brandon-Evansville in a conference showdown.
