Leaders for the Comets were Mackenzie Foss (12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals), Madison Foss (5 points), Audra Ewan (5 points, 4 rebounds), Molly McGuire (5 points), Cassy Twedt (4 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals), Abby Heikes (3 points) and Anna Rasmussen (2 points, 7 rebounds).

“Offensively, I thought we moved the ball much better than we have in the last couple of games,” commented Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark.  “The girls were really looking for their shots and shooting the ball with confidence.  The girls crashed the offensive glass really hard which led to multiple scoring opportunities.”

Morgan Begg and Brianna Thompson led the Titans with 17 and 12 points, respectively.

“Defensively, we struggled to contain a drive and we sent them to the free throw line too many times,” noted Clark.  “Credit the Titans, they knocked down 21-of-27 free throws on the night.  I was proud of their effort.  The girls played hard for 36 minutes and never let the score of the game dictate how hard they worked.  They are using every second on the court to learn and improve their game.”

Hillcrest (0-5) will travel to Rothsay for a Little Eight Conference contest on Tuesday night.
