Alexandria Girls Drop 6-2 Contest to Warriors on Home Ice

The Brainerd/Little Falls Warriors outshot Alexandria 31-16 at the Runestone Arena on Thursday night, recording a 6-2 rad win over the Cardinals.

The Warriors built a 2-1 lead after one period on goals by Brynne Folden and Peyton Lemieur.  Folden was setup by Sophie Robinson and Lemieur was assisted by Shaylee StrootMakenna Aure scored the Alexandria goal, unassisted.

Gabbie Smith scored twice and Josie Kramer added a goal assisted by Smith and Molly Pohlkamp to help Brainerd/Little Falls to a 5-2 lead after two periods of play.  Pohlkamp and Folden added assists in the period.  Anna Doherty scored for Alexandria with assists going to Kaci Trosvig and Mayson Toft.

An Avery Lemieur goal from Robinson ended the scoring at 14:49 of the final period.

Brainerd/Little Falls goalie Breya Sawyer stopped 14-of-16 Alexandria shots on goal.  Alexandria netminder Jordan O’Kane made 25 saves.
