Menahga got out to a 35-19 halftime lead.  The Braves extended their lead to 24 at one point in the second half, but Rothsay battled back with a flurry, cutting the lead to 9 with a minute to go.  Menahga closed out the game with a 71-58 victory.

“We did not play as a unit on the defensive side of the ball for the majority of the game, and gave Menahga too many open looks, and to their credit they knocked them down,” assessed Rothsay Head Coach Taylor Fuhs.  “We played hard the last 3 minutes of the game, just need more consistent effort.”

Rothsay was led by Tanner Heier with 22 points and 6 rebounds.  Colby Larson added 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Rothsay (0-9) will play a Little Eight Conference game on Thursday at Parkers Prairie.
