Jayna Gronewold continued her hot play with 29 points and 8 steals as the Rothsay Tigers defeated Thief River Falls by the score of 56-40 on Saturday morning at Concordia College in Moorhead. Rothsay held a 29-16 lead at the half and shot 53% for the game.
Jenna Fabre added 12 points and 5 rebounds, and Kenadi Carlsrud contributed 9 points and 4 rebounds.
“After a late game last night we came in and were fortunate to find energy to play a solid game on defense,” said Rothsay Head Coach Anita Heier. “We played well as a team and are happy with this win.”
Rothsay snapped a four game losing streak and improved their record to 2-8. They will play at Battle Lake on Friday night.
