The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team defeated the Swanville Bulldogs 102-79 on Thursday night.  The Arrows led 45-34 at the halftime break.

Four Arrows reached double figures.  Hunter Norby had a career high 32 points.  Noah Johnson finished with 22.  Jacob Cook added 20 and Torin Olson had 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.  The Arrows shot 55% (39/71) from the field and 62% (8/13) from the free throw line.  Ashby outrebounded the Bulldogs 39-32.  Swanville's leading scorer was Nicholas Mettler who had 32 points.

Bobby Anderson, making his first Varsity start, and Miles Hoff both battled in the post area defensively,” said Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.  “Ashton Ecker and Derrek Bartz played steady basketball in the backcourt.  We struggled to get 45 points at Pelican Rapids Tuesday, didn't practice yesterday because several players weren't feeling well, and scored 102 tonight.  Basketball is a crazy game.”

The Arrows are now 4-2.  Next Friday, December 27, they take on the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters as part of the Perham tournament.
