First up, Warroad. The Otters were first to get on the board with Leighton Buckmeier burying the puck following a pipe shot from Griffin Babolian. Warroad answered back to tie the score, ending the period 1-1. The second period brought only 2 goals from Warroad, one coming on a powerplay. It was a hard fight and great effort by the Otters who were only able to get on the board one more time with powerplay goal by Sam Dirkman, assisted by Brayden Nelson. Unfortunately, the Otters were not able to hold off Warroad, giving up more 5 goals in the third falling 8-2 against a tough team. Ryan Nelson finished with 50 saves.

Later that day, the Otters faced the Moorhead Spuds. The Spuds didn’t waste any time scoring immediately to start the first period. Moorhead would score 3 more goals ending the first 4-0. The Otters were the first to score in the second period with a hard-earned goal from Joey Johnson from Kellen Stenstrom and Brayden Nelson. The Spuds recorded 2 goals in the second ending the period 6-1. Dakota Komestakes struck like lightning with a goal 30 seconds into the third period, assists to Stenstrom and Jax Katzenmeyer. With nothing left in the tank, the Otters gave up 3 additional goals ending the game 9-2.  Ryan Nelson had 59 saves.
