The Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley boys’ basketball team battled Wyndmere-Lidgerwood to a one-point game on Monday night in Hankinson, ND, losing 69-68.  The Wolverines trailed 37-34 at the half.

"Our boys are continuing to play well on the offensive end of the court, we had about a 10 point lead early in the first half and then defensively we broke down in the and gave up around 5 consecutive 3's in 2 or less minutes," noted Head Coach Ethan Pearson of C-G-B.

"We had a couple new top scorers with Nate Moberg (21 points, 14 rebounds) and Ryan Geray (20 points, 11 rebounds) as they combined for 41 points and 25 rebounds," reported Coach Pearson.  "The game was back and forth the whole second half no lead getting over 5 points. We scored on a an out of bounds play under the basket with 4 seconds remaining, They called a timeout and drew up and executed a perfect play to get down the floor and hit a layup as time expired. This is a good learning experience for all of us as we are a young team."

Cole Gilsdorf and Chuck Kleindl were also in double digits with 12 and 11 points, respectively.  Kleindl added 9 rebounds and Gilsdorf had a team high 4 assists.  Geray led the Wolverines with 3 steals.
