Brandon-Evansville beat Underwood 52-39 in a Little Eight Conference contest on the Rockets home floor on Thursday night.

“We didn’t play well tonight and Underwood deserves credit for dictating the pace,” commented Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Trent Hintermeister.  “I’m happy with our effort, it was just sloppy. Tomorrow’s a big practice before Saturday in Henning.”

Keagan Schiele was the scoring leader for Brandon-Evansville with 14 points. Titus Fuller contributed 10 points, Marshall Riedel had 9 and Tanner Bitzan finished with 8.

Underwood was led by 18 points from Krosby AasnessCanaan Kugler added 11 points.

“This was a hard fought battle tonight and Brandon came out on top,” said Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “Defensively, we did everything we could and played extremely well.  The difference on the defensive end was second chance points, fast break points, and free throws.  We gave them too many second chances and put them to the line too many times as they shot 12-18 from the line to our 0-2.  If we finish every play with a rebound and limit them to one shot the outcome could have been much different.  Offensively, we couldn't get the ball to fall consistently, but had some good looks.  Overall, we played a solid game against a very solid opponent.”

The Rockets will close out their pre-Christmas schedule at Parkers Prairie next Thursday night.
