The Henning Hornets held a slim 23-23 lead at halftime, but put together a 40-point effort over the final 18 minutes of play, while holding Pillager to just 19 second half points as Henning posted a 63-41 victory over the Huskies.

“Great to get a PRC road win against a very solid Pillager team,” commented Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “Once again, we struggled with our rhythm on offense early in the game, but our defense kept us in the game despite some found trouble. We forced 25 Pillager turnovers in the game and we did a much better job getting to the basket in the second half.”

Blake Wallevand led Henning with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.  Parker Fraki contributed 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists. Blaine Wallevand scored 9 points and Isaac Fisher finished with 8 points.

The Hornets shot 40% (22-55) from the field, but made only 4-of-20 (20%) 3-pointers.  They were 15-of-21 (71%) from the free throw line.

Henning (3-0) will host Brandon-Evansville on Saturday afternoon as part of a girl/boy double header.
