“This was a good win for our guys against a very talented Rebel team,” commented Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “It was a tight game throughout with neither team leading by more than six or eight points. The last five minutes both teams made big shot after big shot as the score went back and forth until McHale Korf made a tough shot in the lane with four seconds to go. DGF had a good look to tie it but Aiden Leach's layup attempt rolled off the rim at the buzzer. It was fun to watch our guys battle until the end and also step up and make big plays down the stretch.”

Korf led Pelican Rapids with 19 points.  Jayden Rutherford scored 17 and Logan Fahje 12.

DGF was led by Aiden Leach with 27 points.  Ian Mickelson and Jacob Strand finished with 17 and 11 points, respectively.

Pelican Rapids (2-1) will play at Barnesville (2-1) Friday night, while DGF (1-1) will host Hawley on Friday night and Kindred, ND on Saturday afternoon.
