“Very good basketball game, close most of the way,” commented Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Head Coach Jordon Roos. “Pretty good defensive game by both teams, both teams struggled to finish in the lane. We got complacent at the end while also missing a few close shots which helped Park Christian tie it up. Went to Overtime, got to the free throw line and played good D which ended up helping us get the Win.”
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross shot 34% from the field and made 30% (9/30) 3-pointers.
Matt Thielen led the Warriors with 24 points. Nick Lupkes and Clint Determan also finished in double figures with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Rebound leaders were Lupkes with 11 and Determan with 10. Lupkes also distributed 5 assists and came up with a pair of steals and two blocked shots. Dylan Bainbridge added 7 points and 5 steals.
Park Christian was led by Jonah Williams with 18 points and Tanner Brunsberg with 17. Sam Senske contributed 12 points.
