The Fergus Falls boys’ swimming and diving team lost two divers who qualified for state and four other veteran swimmers to graduation last spring.  Their returning letter winners include two with state tournament experience, senior Will Pawlowski and junior Sean Edman.

“We have more young guys than upperclassmen, so that will bring some growing pains,” said second year Head Coach Randy Hansen.  “We swim a tough Central Lakes Conference schedule, so wins will be difficult to come by, but in swimming that is not the most important stat.  We have a lot of potential with our returners and our young guys.  I see us dropping a lot of time over the season and competing hard every meet.”

Senior Steven Wohlenhaus, juniors Ryan Aanerud and Ty Butler, and freshman Christian Reed are returning letter winners who will see increased responsibility this season.  Senior Noah Osborn transferred from Bismarck, ND.

“As is the case every year, the young guys will be given a chance to make an impact,” commented Coach Hansen.  “They will grow into their new roles.  Coaches Jason Zosel and Jason Schuetzle will bring some new ideas to the team as well.  I am excited to work with them both.”

Andrew Kowalski will work with the Middle School swimmers.

Hansen says Alexandria and Sartell are the top teams in the CLC and in Section 5A.
