The Brandon-Evansville boys’ basketball team will return several players who have a good amount of experience from last year’s 14-12 team.

Seniors Marshall Riedel (Guard), Keagan Schiele (Guard), Tony Schaffran (Forward), Tanner Bitzan (Forward), Sam Fuller (Forward), Jesse Perleberg (Forward), Andrew Johnson (Center), Andrew Perrin (Forward) and Seth Stelzer (Guard), juniors Kobe Reiland (Forward) and Brian Lauthen (Forward), and sophomores Titus Fuller (Guard) and Tyler Bitzan (Guard) make up the roster for the Chargers.

“I hope to see two or three new faces getting some varsity playing time this season,” said third year Head Coach Trent Hintermeister.  “We will be fairly veteran laden if we can stay healthy.  We have some things to shake out at the beginning of the season and we will find out who wants to work hard day in and day out.  The players who consistently work hard are the players who will be on the court and we will go from there.”

Adam Wagner, Kellen Traphagen, Jeff Anderson and Brian Perleberg will serve as assistant coaches.

“I see Section 6A being very strong and deep once again this season,” said Hintermeister.  “Obviously the returning state champions, Henning, are the favorite going into the year with all of their returning players.  From our sub-section I see West Central Area, Parkers Prairie, Hancock and Ashby as top teams.  The Little Eight will have a lot of competitive games throughout the conference schedule but in my mind, Parkers Prairie is the favorite with their size and good guard play.  WCA is the Pheasant Conference favorite with Hancock not far behind.”
