The Brandon-Evansville girls’ basketball team returns six seniors and three juniors from their 15-10 team of a year ago, giving them a solid nucleus heading into the 2019-2020 season under first year head coach Zach Traphagen.

“We return some good experience,” acknowledged Coach Traphagen.  “We’re looking to put more points up this year as the team average was only 41 points per game last year and we shot a low team field goal percentage.  We will look to up our shots in the paint this year, so that the field goal percentage has a better chance to be higher, which will in turn give us more points per game.  We should be very solid defensively, but do need to improve on our rebounding on both sides of the floor.  We will be playing more man-to-man defense this year.”

Returning starters include seniors Haddey Zastrow and Brittany Korkowski, and junior Mikenna Pattrin.  Other returning letter winners are seniors Kailee Klimek and Kristen Kokett, and junior Bailey Schaefer.  Seniors Maddie Otto and Caitlyn Deschene are also expected to step in and contribute.

Traphagen will be assisted by Mike Traphagen, Tim Pattrin and Jordyn Bossert.
