The lady Knights will need to replace graduates Morgan Woodle, Ella Van Kempen and Kaitlyn Sanstead from that team that went 11-1 in the Pheasant Conference last season. Van Kempen is playing college ball at UM-Morris.
Back are seniors Hailey Bennett (G/F), Teagan Nelson (G/F) and Kaylyn Ulrich (G/F), junior Brynn Fernholz (G/F) and sophomores Lexi Bright (G/F), Kaitlyn Hansen (G/F), Lizzie Rustan (G/F) and Kennedy Ulrich (G/F).
Senior Ireland Winter (F), juniors Brooke Anderson (G/F) and Krista Randt (G/F), sophomores Halle Grosz (G/F) and Halle Foslien (F/C) and freshman Claire Stark (F/C) will also be in the mix for varsity playing time.
“We have some depth, speed and experience,” said Coach Schonebauer, “however, we don’t have a lot of height and we need to improve our conditioning. The girls on the roster should make this a fun season!”
Naomi Moerke, Eli Dotts and Todd Bright will assist Schoenbauer.
Coach Schoenbauer sees C-G-B and Hancock as the main conference challengers to the Knights, with Ada-Borup/Norman County West the clear cut favorite in Section 6A.
