The Fergus Falls PeeWee A team is sponsored by Pemberton Law. The team opened their season this weekend by traveling to Fargo, ND to play a Fargo Freeze A team on the afternoon of Saturday November 3. The team worked hard but in the end they were outskated and the final score was 1-10.

The Otters goal was scored by Jack Welde and assisted by Ben Richter. Otter goalie Holden Stenstrom stood his ground facing many shots and was able to save 40 of them.

The Otters came back ready to defend home ice on Sunday November 3 at 1:45pm. Facing a district team, Prairie Centre (PC) PeeWee A’s. The first period showed the teams to be working hard each to defend their goals. With 6:33 remaining in the first period Welde went coast to coast to put the first goal of the game on the board. PC working hard to answer back was able to do so with 1:42 remaining to tie the game.  The second period proved to be a high scoring period. Early in the period Michael Schmidt slid one past the goalie, he was assisted by Welde. Just as the first period PC answered back rather quickly bringing the game again to a tie. With the pressure mounting to get in the lead Schmidt went unassisted to give the Otters a 1 point lead. With the momentum continuing Cam Alt assisted by Welde and Adam Kennedy scored with 5:16 remaining in the second. The Otters still on a high from the last goal brought out Parker Thielke with a goal at 5:07 remaining. Thielke was assisted by Schmidt and Aiden Schake. PC was on the defensive. With 2 minutes remaining in the period they were able to put another on the board. The score after the second period was 5-3 in favor of the Otters. With one period remaining the Otters knew they had to hold PC, and PC knew they needed to get another goal to make it a 1 point game. Less than 5 minutes into the period PC snuck one past the Otter goalie. With minutes remaining PC pulled the goalie in a last effort to tie the game. With 24 seconds remaining Brody Krein passed the puck to Schmidt, Schmidt to Welde and SCORE!!! The Otters win the game!

In goal for the otters on Sunday was Gabe Samuelson. Other key players in the weekend games are Brock Scheuerman, Braden Albert, Henry Greenagel, Hunter Powers, and Kile Beck.
