“Emily Nuss led the Otters with a great time of 21:48.86, placing second,” reported Fergus Falls Head Coach Niki Welde. “She found herself with a gap between the lead girls and the third place girl. Being alone makes it hard to monitor your pace. She ran a solid race nonetheless. Sierra Hatlewick (23:12.36) scored second for the Otters and ninth overall, followed by Ellia Soydara (24:02.35) in twelfth place, Makenna Stenstrom (24:39.46) in sixteenth place and Becca Schindler (24:54.36) in nineteenth place. Miah Schmidt (26:33.49) and Natalie Fransen (27:28.07) both brought in our last varsity spots.”
