Brandon-Evansville came up on the short end of a 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-22) match with Park Christian School from Moorhead on Monday night.

“Tonight we had a good back and forth match at Park Christian,” reported B-E Head Coach Kelly Olson.  “We knew coming in that they were a strong team passing the ball and have girls that can attack the ball. Our goal was to serve tough and pass well, and for 95% of the match we did that. It was the other 5% that cost us. Park Christian answered every run we had, and we did our best to do the same. We lost 3 sets by a combined 9 points and had chances to win. It was a fun match to be a part of, but we came up short. Offensively we need to be better. I felt too many third contacts were too easy, or just plain sloppy. Serving was good at 94%, but we missed a couple at crucial times. Those are things we can work on. Mentally we were there tonight and tomorrow is a new day as we forge ahead with another match against Rothsay in Evansville.”

The Chargers were led by Bailey Schaefer (15 kills, 1 block, 4 digs), Mikenna Pattrin (6 kills, 2 blocks), Brittany Korkowski (5 kills, 8 digs, 18/18 serving, 1 ace serve), Korrie Randt (26 set assists, 6 digs, 13/13 serving, 1 ace serve), Kailee Klimek (7 digs, 2 blocks, 3 kills, 15/15 serving, 1 ace serve), Kristen Kokett (11 digs) and Boris Jacobson (2 ace serves).  Gretchen Bredberg was a perfect 7-for-7 on the serving line and as a team the Chargers served 94.4% (67/71).
