The Battle Lake volleyball team headed to the Barnesville Tournament on Saturday. The Battlers played even with every team but could not get a win. The Battlers lost to Barnesville 2-0 (12-25, 26-28), Win E Mac 2-0 (21-25, 26-28), and Frazee 2-0 (9-25, 19-25).
“The Battlers struggled to find consistent energy and flow,” commented Battle Lake Head Coach Jenny Roisum. “We had great comebacks in set 2 of our Barnesville and Win E Mac matches, we just couldn't finish.”
Grace Van Erp ended the day with 13 kills, 23 assists, and was 22/25 serving. Kate Christensen and Halie Johnson each added 11 kills on the day. Christensen went 21/22 serving while Johnson added 17 digs. Ady Tysdal was 17/17 serving while Makenna Tysdal added 23 digs.
The Battlers head to New York Mills on Monday.
