Otter Bowlers Split in New York Mills

At the half-way point in the West Central (North) Conference season, the Fergus Falls varsity trails New York Mills by one win in the standings, after the home team swept all three of their matches on Saturday, while the Otters went 2-1 on the day.  Fergus Falls JV Black holds a one win lead over Fergus Falls JV Maroon, with both teams sweeping all three matches.

The Fergus Falls varsity beat Bemidji in match one, 4-1, with Dylan Obowa (100%) and Kaitlyn Krensing (81%) leading the team.  Match two was a 4-1 win over Detroit Lakes. Keisen Wick (87%), Obowa (81%), and Jasmine Benjamin (75%) were team-high. The Otters took a 2-3 loss to Wadena in the final match.  Obowa, Wick, and Zach Kort led the team in fill percentage, all filling at 80%. 

Fergus Falls JV Black defeated Perham JV, 4-1, in the first match, with Alayna Price (91%), and Ryder Drayton (90%) team-high.  Matthew Tungseth (83%) led the way in a 5-0 win over Bemidji JV in match two, and Price (81%) again was high fill percentage in a 5-0 sweep over New York Mills JV in the last match of the day.

Fergus Falls JV Maroon downed New York Mills JV in the first match, 5-0.  Sara Johnson led the way at 75%.  Johnson (60%) was team-high again as JV Maroon beat Perham JV, 5-0, in the second match, and it was Johnson and Micah Gaines filling at 70% in the final match, a 3-2 win over Fergus Falls JV Gold.

Fergus Falls JV Gold lost 1-4 to Detroit Lakes JV in match one, with Myia Krensing team-high at 45%.  Alex Benjamin (60%) led JV Gold to a 3-2 win over Fergus Falls JV Silver in match two, and Krensing and Abby Tungseth both filled match three at 70% in a 2-3 loss to Fergus Falls JV Maroon in the last match.

Fergus Falls JV Silver defeated Bemidji JV in match one, 3-2, with Grady Pelaccio team-high at 45%.  Brody Bray and Braden Albert filled match two at 50% in the 2-3 loss to FF JV Gold, and Albert (72%) led the way in a 4-1 win over Perham JV in the final match.

The Otter bowlers will travel to Detroit Lakes on Sunday, September 29, with competition beginning at 1:00PM.
